We stayed at Hickory Run State Park this weekend. It is a beautiful place with miles of hiking trails, a lake for swimming, fishing, and a natural wonder called a boulder field.. Some of the sites are rustic but there is big rig parking with full hook-ups. We saw a very large triple axle OR backed into one site and at least two huge Motor coaches in there as well. Our site had 30, 50, and 15 amp plugs at the post.
It's not far from Jim Thorpe PA which is a small "artsy" type town with shops and restaurants. The town has train rides through the local gorge and rafting available as well. Overall a great place to visit with lots to do.

Thanks for that. Hickory Run is just over an hour from us and I've always wanted to try it but heard we couldn't fit. The triple axle OR was probably a 427, which is what I have, and if they were in there, I'm sure I can make it now.

The Park's paperwork said the have pad sizes from 23 to 93 feet long. The road between Rt 80 and the campground (534 I think ) is a bit windy, with some tight curves. On the way back to 80 from the campground there is a 1/2 mile long 12% decline to a stop sign, followed by a sharp right hand turn. That's the only place it would be a a bit hairy with a big rig.

After surviving Prospect Mountain Campground in Granville, Massachusetts with its twisting and turning approach roads and the rutted state forest access road we were on leaving this weekend, your description sounds like a breeze. Thanks for the heads up.
