Today our living room ac began running & running - and not cooling sufficiently. (which is probably why it isn't cycling on & off as it should) I have a laser temperature gun and, at all l.r. ceiling ducts, it's only putting out 73 degrees of cooling. It normally reads 54-60 or so.
What do you think is the problem? any advice would be appreciated

PS It's only around 80 here in FL...would like to figure it out before it gets REALLY hot. :?

Are you iced up by any chance? Pull the shroud and check.

Possible you lost your freon. In that case the AC has to be replaced. There are a handful of shops scattered about that can find the leak and recharge it, but they’re rare.

That might be case...we'll have to have someone come check it out. Thanks!

I expierenced a similar situation with my Dometic AC had it checked out and apparently was not getting enough AMPS, it was under warranty replaced in two days, keeps us cool down here in Florida with no problem, luckily to have a great mobile tech that came to the house and checked it for us. Depending on the manufacture, some companies like Dometic will help you troubleshoot over the phone. Hope this helps! Good Luck and Happy Camping.

Thanks, Livingthedream! We'll be calling the mobile tech in the morning.
