I would like to add a second AC on my 310. I'm an electrician so I'm not concerned about the wiring, is it hard to remove the skylight? The units come with a gasket, is that all you need to seal it or is there a chance of new leaks? Is it hard to secure? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

The unit on the roof and the unit against the ceiling will sandwich together
using long bolts (5/16" I think) not sure about the gasket--may need to add self leveling
sealer like Dicor or maybe Eterabond tape. Hardest part is getting roof unit topside.

I did this in my bedroom. The unit fits in a roof vent not a skylight opening. There should be a designated roof vent for this. It will have AC already there. Removing the roof vent is not to bad just take you time and scrape off the old sealant. I did seal the raw edge with eterabond tape. Everything is included in the AC kit to seal it up. I put in a ducted unit in and tied it in to my ceiling duct work. The duct work is all available in the designated vent to use. I fished a wire for the thermostat through the ceiling and down through and inside wall. You will need a 12v DC power supply at the unit to power the thermostat. I found this in the will I installed the thermostat in. I just used a small fish tape to pull the wireing through. I ordered my unit from PPL Motorhomes and got a heat strip kit with it. (Not heat pump) This gives the option having heat in the ceiling when needed. I also converted my main unit to a heat strip model. This way use can use the park power when you need a little heat. Or you can get the self contained non ducted model and you will not need the thermostat. I don't think the heat strip is available for those.

Is the 310 already set up for a second AC? There is a label in the ceiling vent in our 272RLS that says it is pre-wired for a second AC.

Yep mine had that sticker also. Just no 12v DC in there. I had to rum that.

Not sure if the 26RBS was a 50 Amp or 30 Amp trailer. Normally you can only have 1 AC with a 30 Amp supply.
