Hi we’re hoping to get a new 310bhs or a 328bhs by the end of the week for our full time adventure, but was wanting to see if any could tell me about how much I should expect to pay for one. We checked on a 328bhs and dealer told us it was 45900 and I know there is a huge markup on campers in general but would like to find out what was a fair price on one is and there is nothing on rv trader.
Thanks Matt.

25 to 30% off MSRP is a good figure to shoot for.

Hello and good luck. We started out our adventure of full timing with a 310BHS and unfortunately we found after a short period of time that we had purchased the unit for the wrong reasons. When we purchased the unit I offered the dealership 25% less than the asking price. Little did I know this was the normal low end. The salesman was ecstatic. When we traded in the unit 2 1/2 years later, we lost almost 10k. We learned that if you're happy with the price you pay and the unit is what you want, go for it. By the way, we are still full time RV'ers but we now have 430RLS fifth wheel. We found that we are much happier having traded for a unit "for us" and not our family. Good luck and welcome. :cfire

We just bought a 328bhs and paid 42,500 for it...however, the dealer gave me $20,000 for my 2014 Rockwood 3211ss whereas the other 3 dealers I talked to would only give me 14,500. Doesn't help much when you put another $13k back in the trailer (Propride hitch, warranty, sales tax, winegard trav'ler, electric jacks, cargo tray, and a few other items). You get working against each other and you can save a lot of money. They don't like it, but it's not about making friends...it's about saving money. You won't talk to that sales guy after you bought the trailer, so it doesn't matter.

X2 with SubSailor. Buy for you and not the grandkids or company. You will use the room more then they will. If they do come to visit the 2 times a year go to a Cg that rents little cabins or as we do carry a air mattress or two. You will have room on the floor for the mattress if you buy for yourself. I was able to get my 2017 328bhs for 38% of the MSRP. And I was able to get a wdh thrown in for free. Best trailer we have owned so far. We are getting ready to go full time in it.

You don't say where your from. A lot depends on the area. Here on the west coast you can expect to pay quite a bit more than in say Texas!! The delivery fee alone adds thousands of dollars to a deal. WE found our exact unit for 3K less at dealers in both Texas and Indiana and our dealer was emphatic they could not match that cost and WOULD NOT SERVICE A RIG FROM THERE ( they will not service ANY rig they don't sell)! We got a decent deal and have had good service from them.

I've looked at a lot of RV's over the past three years. I can say this, don't get a bunkhouse. My last TT was a bunk house and all the bunks did was take up space. We paid a ton for the extra living quarters and guess what? The kids grew up and didn't want to go camping anymore. So just this year we decided to trade up and get the Light 319RLS. So much more space for us. If the kids and their significant others want to camp with us they can get a tent, their own RV or sleep on the sofa or floor. I'm not buying it for them anymore. Tina and I are the primary occupants of the house now and we get to get it for us. Get the one you want and don't consider the kids/grandkids because they will only be there for a short time with you. Get what you want because that's what works for you.

That said, you shouldn't pay more than 75% of MSRP. I was just around 69% before the dealer extras. I'm very happy with my purchase and very happy with what I got. I would suggest you rethink your purchase before you buy and contemplate if the extra price is worth the few weekends the children are going to be with you.
