Does anyone have any experience with the above technical service bulletin.

Apparently my 2013 427BHS has 12 amp slide switches that need to be upgraded to 30 amp slide switches.

Has anyone on this forum dealt with this situation?

Phil

Yes. I called my dealer and they sent me five switches for my 427. I replaced them myself.

And so far the feedbacks indicate the new 30 amp switches allow motors/slides to run smoother and somewhat quicker.

Everyone who went to the CHR had their switches replaced. The slides do run better, motor strains less and it is faster.

They also replaced some wiring behind the panel with heavier gauge wire at the CHR, so you may want to ask about this as well.
Slides do seem to work better now.

Is there a wire issue also with the panel? I have read a few comments about replacing some wiring. I want to make sure this is done also when they replace my switches in 2 weeks. Anyone got info for the wiring?

Dave here is one thread that discusses the small jumper wire. seems that the slide motors require at least 10ga wire for the motors to operate properly and some of our campers have a jumper wire that is 14ga to the switches. I'm not very good with the search feature but this thread is Cruz-in (Dan) discussing what he was doing to rectify the problem. http://www.openrangeowners.com/ORforum/ ... =65&t=6751

Thanks for the find. I struggle with the search some times.

I received four switches from Sonny's RV, took about 1/2 hour to change. I did it the by popping out one switch, pulled one wire off and put it on the new one, then did wire 2, 3 and 4. Popped switch back in and moved onto switch 2, 3 and 4. My only question is the new ones feel a little stiffer than the old ones. Did anyone else notice this, or is it just me.

They are stiffer. Can't say they loosen up over time or if I just got used to them, but they seem better now after numerous uses.
