I read a post on RV.net about a recall on FIC deadbolt cylinders and when checking the number on our 345RLS keys, discovered that ours is on the recall list. Dave filled out the form on the site and then called the 800 number. He talked to a very nice lady who is sending us a new cylinder and the tools needed to replace it. They ask that we return the tools and the old cylinder in an envelope they will supply. We've been told to expect ours sometime in the next few days.

Just thought some of you might want to check your key numbers also -- they're listed on the linked web site. We have had some issues with our lock from time to time and are glad to hear there's a reason. We're eager to get it fixed.

Peggy

Thanks for the headsup! Just checked our keys and the number isn't on the recall list! Another wonderful reason for keeping up with the Forum!

Peggy, thanks for posting this info. I get an industry magazine and I heard about this recall several months ago but had forgotten it. I just checked and I'm on the list so I've got to get off my rear and do something.

Great info. here--thanks for sharing--I just checked the numbers on my 2009 and mine is also affected.
I have two entry doors but only one was on the recall list. However when I checked the 2nd door the dead bolt was OK but the paddle lever cylinder will come out with the key when you un-lock the top lock. I will call tomorrow.
Thanks again.

mine is also on the recall list. I really hope that each number listed is not the same key but a manufacture number.

New keys, lock cylinders and required tool are on the way.
I told them "I just paid to get a 3rd Key cut, can you send an extra? First she said she wanted $3.95. I told her that's about what I paid last week to get this one cut (not everybody has the blank). She put me on hold, returned and said Normally we don't do this, but I will send you a 3rd key. Thanks!

I did ask "if I have an HF-322 key, will it fit every other camper with an HF-322 Key?" She said No.

I also checked my inclosed motorcycle trailer, it falls between 2 of the numbers.

I called this morning and talked with a very nice lady about the locks on my 335BHS.
Mine has two entry doors and only one was on the list--but when checking the other door the cylinder on the paddle lever comes out when it is un-locked--the lady said she would send me two new locks--asked her if possible to have both keyed alike and she said she would.(:

We also are affected by the recall. Just called in & replacement is on the way. Glad to know it wasn't just me that always had a hard time w/ the deadbolt lock/key on our 345RLS !!

Being relatively new owners we are especially appreciative of those of you who take the time to keep us all informed about stuff like this. Thanks again also to our Forum moderators who built this platform and keep it running.

I had one door that was effected by the recall. I took this opportunity to get the tumbler for the other door also. They are sending me a set (matching) for both camper doors. The additional set is $4.50 for the tumbler's and $5 shipping plus state tax. I think the additional $10 is worth it to have one key for both doors. .
Thanks for the info Peg and helping me get rid of the extra KEY :Ban

I guess I got mine recalled when it was broken into at the storage facility last year. My new key isn't under the recall.

Thanks for this information!! We are also on the recall list. Thought the problem I was having with the key was operator error.
