I recently went from an OR light bunkhouse to a Roamer. Went from 9950 gross to 14200 gross. A little to much for my 94 F250 IDI.

So I am looking for a bigger truck.

Found a 2003 f350 dually 7.3 turbo 210,000 miles for 8k

While contemplating this, started thinking of best truck.

What does everyone think:

f350 dually
Ram 3500 dually
GM0 Dually

All comes down to your favorite brand. Of course you're going to get the Ford vs GM vs Dodge conversations flying back and forth. I'm a Ford guy so that's the way I'd lean. But I'm not fond of the 2017s, and they sit much higher so I can't even consider one without putting a lift kit on the RV.

Whatever you get, make sure it is a diesel. All three are very capable. Good luck!

There were some serious problems with some years of the Ford diesel, check the Ford forums on good and bad years.
I've been extremely happy with my 2011 Cummins Ram, but there are people equally happy with Ford and GMC.

I am on my 3rd Ram not because of the brand but because of the Cummins Diesel!
Stay away from the mid 2000 Ford 6.4 diesel!

Also stay away from the Ford 6.0 diesel. Unless it has been completely bulletproofed, you are asking for trouble. Its not a matter of if you will have to have a stud job done, its a matter of when.

X2 on the Cummins It is a time proven design that will last more miles than the rest of the truck.

I am pretty sure the 6.4 didn't come along till 2007 or so, till 2011 when the 6.7 came on. The 7.3 (powerstroke) was late 95- to early 2003. The 6.0 replaced it till Ford sued Navistar and in 2007 they brought out the 6.4.
