Why does Dodge insist on ruining a great engine design with the crap the put around it?

I think all that additional stuff is Federal EPA required pollution controls. You know, the stuff that reduces efficiency and causes you to burn more fuel and put out more contaminants.

My truck had a lot of that stuff at one time. I was more referring to the terrible placement of things like shocks in the way of oil filters, fuel filters that require removing half a front end to get to just so people don't want to work on their stuff. I will say, Ram is still better to work on than any Ford

I know next time to supply the oil changer with a one gallon zip lock bag to put over the oil filter and zip it before he/she turns it upside down and drain all over the suspension.

you can also try different sizes of those soft drink to go cup lids to see if one will fit and just place a piece of tape over the straw hole
