Based on reviews, we've not renewed our Good Sam Roadside Assistance Policy. Would like to know what company everyone is using and your experience with them so far.

I had 2 different plans with Good Sam. 1. Roadside assistance 2. Travel assist. This is if you have an issue on the road i.e health issue, they get your rig, DW, pets ,etc. home. which cost about $250. The Coachnet plan has both under 1 plan and was about $75 cheaper. I can't say why I dumped Good Sam but I will never patronize them or Camping World again.Dave

I had my first tow truck ride with Good Sam Roadside Assistance. Very positive experience having rig and truck towed off I-10 in Arizona to Sierra Vista. A bit of a haul, but a great place to break down. The plan worked as we expected and got us off the highway and to a campground and repair shop for the Dodge Ram with no out of pocket expense. Rented a car and enjoyed a week in the area with lots to do while waiting for diagnosis and number 5 injector replacement.

Good Sam Roadside assistance has got us off the road at least 10 times. can not complain about the service. most were for truck break downs and three for blowouts and one for wheel bearing. each time them came through in an hour or less. only a couple of times the repair guy did not have all the equipment needed. still use them

We have purchased Good Sam Road Side Assistance for 4 years and have had to use them once a year for this or that......can't say good enough about each episode......has well paid for itself every year needed! Purchased again this year on the new 2017 3X375 but haven't needed them.......yet! Been over 5000 miles so keeping fingers crossed all continues well! Good Luck on your decision!

I had AAA and Good Sam Road Side Assistant. Had a flat tire on trailer 30 miles west of Blythe CA in the middle of nowhere, it was also 115 degrees out and no way I was going to crawl under the trailer and change a tire. I called AAA 1st and after a run-a-round for an hour I gave up on them. I only had the premium service and not the full RV coverage. I called Good Sam Road Side assistant and they were there in 30 minutes to change my tire. I cancel my premium service with AAA and went back to the basic coverage.
Good Sam Road Side Assistant is only $69 a year thru Camping World. I am happy with Good Sam.
AAA cost 3 or 4 times more.

Had Good Sam Roadside Assistance for many years.
Had a blowout returning from the TX Rally driving around Ft Worth.
Took 3 calls to GS, I told them my spare tire need air and I had lowered the tire.
When the service guy showed up he did not have air and only had a jack to use on a car, 1.5 ton.
I had to get out my 6 ton bottle jack and had to tell him NOT to jack on the axle tube.

The only reason I called them was because I needed air for the spare and that did not happed. I had to drive to a station with 20 lbs. In the spare.
I now have Coachnet

Doc, unfortunate event.
Do you have a air compressor, a 12 VDC type? I carry a good one on our unit, one that’s rated 100 psi, goo for higher volume output. And I carry a small Mickey Mouse green slime compressor in the truck.

Nice to have.

All the service station that service the Good Sam Roadside Assistant are all operated differently. Some will be excellent service and some are not. Report the bad ones to Good Sam and they will drop them from their contract.
I complained about one and GS gave me additional 6 months of free membership.

CoachNet. We had a flat on the Ohio Turnpike and it took about an hour but work was done ok. I got the impression that they were calling around for someone to come out. The service rep called me back to tell me when to expect someone and again to make sure the work was being done ok.

We also have USAA but haven’t used them yet for the RV....it was such a cheap add on to the policy we just did it.

These same service station contract with multiple Roadside Assistant companies. The service will be based on that service station not the Roadside Assistant that they represent. You can have excellent service at one service station and the next one will be bad. The best Roadside Assistant in my opinion would be the one for the least amount of money (Good Sam $59 a month) for a year of service.
Some of us are already paying for service thru our auto insurance to cover our trucks, RAM trucks are covered for free for the 100k miles or 5 years, I also have AAA and Good Sam.
So basically my truck is covered by 4 different companies.
So get what covers your Trailer with the best coverage. The biggest difference is the miles for towing. Some only cover you for 5 miles others 100 miles etc.
