We are trying to make it to the RV show in Hersey PA. The best place that has sites available are in Lebanon PA.
We are trying to coordinate stops in around Youngtown OH, then drive to Lebanon PA and get there by noon at the RV park, that would leave me about 3 hours to walk around the RV show to look at accessories and vendor boots.
I don't plan on looking at trailers, happy with mine.
Anyone know of any scienic RV parks around Youngstown OH? , we will be on US 80 from Shipshewana IN.

Tough one. Anything along 80 in Ohio is scarce unless you stray quite a ways off your route. Where are you now?

I think I exhausted the possibiltiy of trying to make it to the RV show in Hersey. Hard to find a RV park near by for a Saturday night.
Other RV parks have sites available on Sunday but would not allow much time to checkin and setup and still have an hour or two for the show. Just didn't seems worth the aggravation for last minute plans.
So now we are just going to head to Bath NY, leaving Elkhart on Sunday/Monday , stop over in Ohio somewhere and then on to Bath on Tuesday. We may call and add another day in Bath getting there on Monday instead of Tuesday.
I was hoping to find a scienic place along the Lake to stop for one night.

I can recommend Campers Paradise in Sigel, PA. Its small and a little ways off I-80 but was always a 'go-to' spot for us over the years. Its nestled near the Clear Creek State Forest and we always had a good experience there. If you wind up there, tell Mike and Andrea that Mike G says 'hi'.

A little further east on I-80 is the SB Eliot State Park. Also quite nice but I've only hunted there, never camped.

Not exactly on the way be there is Lock 30 Woodlands RV Resort in Lisbon Ohio. We stayed there a couple years ago and it was a nice quiet place out in the middle of no place. We went during the fall apple festival and you're a little early for that I think. Still, it meets your criteria: Ohio, scenic, and long some water.

On the west end of Ohio you can take a look at:
Maumee Bay State Park, 1400 State Park Road Oregon, OH 43616, (419) 836-7758, that looks to be about 20 minutes north of the TP-80.

Or closer to Youngstown is: West Branch State Park 5570 Esworthy Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266---Information: (330) 296-3239 That's just 15 min south of the TP-80.

Or take a look at Pymatuning Lake State Park 7514 Pymatuning Lake Rd, Andover, OH 44003. It's as close as you can get to PA and still be in Ohio but it's about 45 minutes north from the TP-80. Information: (440) 293-6684

There is a KOA in Streetsboro, OH. I have never stayed there, too close to home. If it is just an overnight, there a few rest areas with hookups and dump stations on the OH turnpike . There is one of those just past the Streetsboro exit.

Just curious what are your travel plans for Hawaii? Can't say I have ever seen an RV park there either :Helo .

Not knowing your travel plans to Bath (80 into PA then North or 90 into NY then East) this may not be helpful. Forum members SubsailorMS2 have work camped at the Thompson KOA for the past two summers and say that it is nice. http://koa.com/campgrounds/thompson/

If you have time you may want to get off I-90 and take Rt20 through OH and PA (by-pass Erie on 90). 20 will take you through OH and PA wine and fruit country. Rt 5 East of Erie is also a nice drive taking you closer to the Lake if you have time.

I'm already getting thirsty for wine.
