While sitting here in snowy, cold Green Bay, Wisconsin I am thinking about where to travel this next summer. We only have 3 directions to travel being so close to the Canadian border. We have never really been West of the Mississippi for any extended period of time. I now wish that I lived 2 1/2 miles NW of Lebanon, Kansas. Lebanon, Kansas is the center point of the United States. For those who live in Kansas you are lucky. You can pick to travel in 4 directions in the USA. We are planning to travel to Maine and Nova Scotia late summer or fall. Again East bound we are. Hopefully in a couple of years we will go West. Merry Christmas to all and safe travels. Jerry and Sue

Four Mile Creek State Park is a beautiful park, right on Lake Ontario in NY, 20 miles from Niagara Falls.

How about you organize a West Coast Rally?
That way you'd have to travel West! ;-)

(Those of us actually on the West Coast seem unable to pull one off)

Don’t even think about it Lvtocmp2... The Coming Home Rally is enough for us. Let me know when you guys get it organized.

After a CHR, headed east to N.Y.. We stayed at Evagona SP to visit the Falls. Prob not far.

We were surprised at the Falls parking lot, attendant seen our SP pass on windshield which granted us free parking into the Falls lot. We take that!

You could come down to the Texas Rally then head west from there.

OK your "only 3 directions" statement made me think of something. Is it a big deal to go into Canada with an RV? I know you need a passport or passport card but otherwise? Obviously the people who do those Alaska trips do and when we were in Yuma AZ probably about 1/10th the rigs there were from Canada.

Going to Canada is no big deal. Just do your research so when you cross the border you don't have any problems. We have been there twice with our rig and a couple of times in our car. Biggest thing is be honest with the Canadian Customs, don't joke with them just answer yes and no to their questions. No handguns are allowed, long guns you can get a permit but you have to have it when you get to the border. jhth.Dave

I was more curious about RVs being an issue. I've been to Canada before (by car) and the only thing in my experience the quite polite border guys are interested in is guns. They ask me 4 or 5 times if I have any but don't search or anything. I must look like a gun runner or something. The US customs guys on the way back are, frankly, rude jerks.
