Ironically, I just had this happen today on my 308. Cabinet over the sofa. Looks like the hinge pulled out-pieces of pressed "wood" all over the sofa too. Might end up replacing the door-any idea if they are available?

If the door is really bad enough to replace - it might be covered under warranty. Contact OR. I had a rear drawer replaced when a latch failed while traveling and the drawer opened and got eaten by a slide.

It took them two times (first time - got wrong stain color completely) and a couple of months, but OR fixed it.

I had the same issue. I'm a hobbiest woodworker so I came at the problem with a more robust solution.

Firstly, the problem is that when the factory drilled the large 35mm hole, they didn't do it deep enough to fully seat the hinge cup, so it won't sit flush on the tabs. They used press in fittings (which work just fine, but not when the hinge isn't deep enough, so it "cams" out every time you open the door), so the flange screw really holds nothing but a expansion fitting inside a rather large hole.

Secondly, Alder is fairly soft so it doesn't "repair" with toothpicks very well. That and you have to essentially tear out the expansion fitting for the screws.

Here's what I did. Remove the door, remove the hinges, drill the large hole deeper (use a 35mm bit in a drill press). I then routed (or use a chisel) out the large flange holes (this is where the expansion fitting used to be) and made a maple plug (any harder wood like poplar, etc. would work great) and glued that in. I then put the hinge back in, used small regular wood screws for flange holes (predrill as appropriate) - and no you can't use the same screws that were in there - they're not wood screws, and was back in business.

Maybe that's overkill - but for the horizontal doors I have over my couch, that fix is probably the only way they are going to stay up there. Vertical doors don't have the pneumatic holder mechanism that puts a lot of stress on the hinges.

I didn't try the warranty. I don't have the confidence that my RV repair center can really do cabinet shop work, nor do I believe they would farm it out and fix it properly.

BTW: the drawers are terribly warped and the bottoms are falling out regularly. Yep, another opportunity to make boxes - Yeah!

We had a pantry door pop off when heavy item in pantry fell against door before we opened the slide in front of the pantry door. As someone else mentioned it seems to be a compression fitting like an anchor, it swells inside the hole. Loosened screws, reinstalled door, tightened screws. Will redo with glue when I get home.

Cabinet door over our couch (308bhs) did the exact same thing last week, compression type hinge mounts pulled out and tightening the screws does nothing, it will be going into the dealer for warranty on this and a few other things that we have noticed over our two weeks on the road.

The middle and bottom hinges of the bedroom wardrobe came off splitting the door edge in my new 272RLS. One of many warranty items that will be looked at this winter. Interested to see what the tech does, hopefully more than toothpicks and glue.

Within 1 week we had one fall off the cabinet above the couch. All I did we open it and it fell out. The dealer blamed me but he fixed it.

We had one hinge pull out. I got some quick setting wood putty and just fixed it.

We had a hinge pull out of the cabinet above the couch on our first trip in our new 2017 308BHS. Highland Ridge RV provided a replacement door. Upon inspection of the other hinge, it looks like the wood is extremely soft, and they may drill out too much wood to install the hinges.

If this happens again (which I am sure will happen), I'll probably just do the wood putty trick.

I just had three of the four cabinet doors over the couch pop off the hinge. There is a spring loaded arm that hold these open, seems to have pushed them off the hinge.

Same here but just 2 doors. Seems like the pressure from those sping arms did it on ours also.

After this happening a couple more times we got the dealer to put in a new and different kind of spring arm. It works fine but doesn't have as much tension as the old one. After 6 months so far so good.
