OK, I have a financing question? We have been told that it is next to impossible to get financing for a new rig if you do not have a sticks and bricks address or at least SOME kind of permanent address.
Has anyone else run into this?

Most likely the issue is with the question they always ask "how long have you lived at your current address; do you rent or own?".

We are full time and luckily (I guess) we purchased our unit prior to selling the stick and bricks in December 2014.

Now the problem being if we HAVE to replace our unit and don't have a physical address how would that work? We only have a mailing address as Escapees in Texas.

Maybe those that have done the full time option longer than us and have had to buy another unit could answer this better. I would think if you have the down payment needed; good credit and are honest about your situation there should be someone who would work with you. It might require more family contact information so they can find you LOL.

We will be watching the answers you get to this question.

Alliant Credit Union. Good rates also. The reason lenders won't lend to full timers is a judge ruled that if an RV is your home it is considered your domicile and they have to foreclose instead of repossessing

For tax purposes they are considered second homes. With the benefits come the bad parts, too.

Bank of the West didn't have a problem with my financing. I understand Good Sam does well for it too.

Interesting topic. So, was just wondering how important is the so-called credit-score to get financing ?
Let say you always maintain an excellent credit score, and yet your main address is a P.O. box.
Which is fine for most state agencies (DMVs, IRS, etc.)
However, for a bank you have no "stone collateral" ...
In other words, have always been a good tax citizen, and yet no collateral for a bank !
How much interest percentage on your financing ?
