You talking black, gray, or fresh water? Naturally the bigger the better, but regardless, water management is important regardless of size.

If you're boondocking a lot they are a plus. We used to boondock before and our tanks were smaller and about every 3-4 days we had to add fresh water and empty tanks. Some times there was service for the black tanks. But occaissionally had to pack up and go to a dump site. We usually carried a couple of 5 gallon plastic water bottles to transport fresh water when needed.Dave

bottom line when boondocking more water the better. It all depends on how much boondocking your gonna do.. One person with 85 gallon tanks and a couple of seperate water jugs....a month or better?

Larger tanks are better especially if you camp without sewer regularly. You do not have to be a boondocker to benefit from larger tanks. Many state and federal parks have electric but no water or sewer.
Small tanks would be a deal breaker for me.

My '09 337RLS was listed as having a 50 gal H2O tank but it turned out to have 32 gal. instead. The black and gray tanks were also that size. I've learned to get by but definitely miss the extra capacity at times.

Wow that would be quite upsetting finding out after the fact. 32 gallons would be deal breaking for me.

I'm thinking that the water capacity is both the tank and the water heater added together. We go a week while boondocking with our 337, our gray capacity is usually our issue with daily showers. So we got a portable dump wagon, so I don't necessarily have to actually pull the rig to the dump station. We love the state parks and haven't found many that have sewer at the site.
