I just ordered the sub woofer ($84) for my DV1200 audio system to get a little more bass out of the cheap sound system. I also ordered the Universal Remote control ($30) to control my DV1200 audio system, TV and fireplace. I hated the remote that came with the DV1200 system, it's impossible to see the buttons.

I will let everyone know if this was worth the money from Furrion's website (free shipping and no taxes).

I ordered a furrion sub from amazon. I ended up returning it. I should have tried the one with the amp built in. I am an curious how yours works out. I agree the sound system needs more bass.

I received the passive subwoofer from Furrion but never installed it. You have to convert the 2 wires to a RCA connector so it will plug into the audio system RCA subwoofer jack.
I found out there is an adjustment for bass from the control knobs, I has no bass by adjusting this the sound doesn't sound like a tin box any longer. Was a good improvement but I still want more quality sound.

How well does the remote work, pair easy, worth it? I have a 2015, so not sure if it would work for my year as its older than yours. But the three separate remotes are a pain.

I bought the optional Furrion universal remote, it works better than the audio remote. The audio remote I can't even see it the buttons.

The guy from Furrion that came to the CHR last year said he was gonna sell us the universal remotes later that day, but he disappeared and was never seen again. I just bought one on ebay and received it last week. If you want one go to ebay and search 'Furrion remote'. It's the first one there (FEHS39L6A). $20-- free shipping. He has 6 left.

Thanks for the lead on that remote, ordered one today.

For what it's worth, I bought the Furrion sub-woofer off of eBay. Ran to the green wires on the back of the main receiver. Not exactly like home-stereo, but much improved to have at least a little bottom end, worth the $30 or so I spent.

Great score on the sub Tom. FYI, whenever you disconnect 12v power you have to readjust your treble/bass. They default back to flat otherwise. Turning the loudness on helps a lot too.

Remote works well, note my 2015 has an intertek model EF-30B, it won't control my fireplace but worms with my tv and DVD/stereo
