handirife, just curious if when your connected to shore power and you are disconnected from your batteries, will the audio system still work? I'm also think the furnace won't work either since the thermostat is 12v too.
I would test it but my RV is in storage for R&R before I next trip : )

Well I guess I don't fully know how these are wired. Still hooked to shore power, when the battery disconnect switch is turned off, the thermostat and radio both work. So either both work off 110v with some sort of conversion, or the converter is supplying 12v directly to the coach AND the batteries at the same time. I am guessing it is the latter.

I do not want to disconnect from shore power to test that, since it will reboot my sat receiver. We go home tomorrow so sometime after we get home I will test that out.

All I really am concerned with is if the radio is dual voltage. I am guessing it is not.

I have a 12v outlet in my entertainment system, I could plug my 12v/110 150 watt inverter into the 12v outlet which creates a 110v outlet for my satellite receiver box. I have a Sony DVD BlueRay player that plugs into the 12v/110v inverter. I also plug my 45watt 110v fan into it occasionally.

Bill that's what I am suspecting is always going to be the case. I only wondered to see if I should buy separate units, but that would create issues tying it back into speaker system.

I will do further research on units available to replace this one. The opening I have is approximately 6" high by 9" wide. A pretty big opening to fill or cover with a plate.

the DV1200 has a few HDMI ports. I have my TV in the main HDMI port, BlueRay paler on 2 and laptop into HDMI port 3. HDMI is Audio & video cable into one.

My DV1200, sorry some of the pic are blurry so is my eye sight : )
When I pulled mine out I went ahead and populated all the cables into the back of the DV1200 and label the ends of the cables so I know what port umbers they were plug into.

I see only one HDMI port in the pic. Mine only has one. Does not matter since I won't be replacing itcwith another Furion anyway.

handirifle your correct. I have just 1 HDMI port on the back of the DV1200. That HDMI cable plugs into my primary port on my TV (Visio) and the TV has 2 more ports for my BluRay player and Laptop.
I used my laptop to stream video from DirecTV and them send the image to the big screen.
I have AT&T which is part of Directv so you are not charge against your data plan for streaming directv movies. I use my hotspot for a signal, local wifi is to slow.

Thats funny. We also have Direct Tv but not AT&T. We like Verizon coverage. We always take our 2nd DVR along in the RV for the Satelite and get our shows that way.

When our Furion TV went out 2 years ago we also got a 40" Visio. It has plenty of HDMI ports but is a real pain to lift off the mounts to get at them. I ran all the cables I need when we hung this one back on after I installed the Sat dish.
