Hi everyone! I'm am new to Highland Ridge along with this forum!

Sorry about if this question has been addressed or answered prior to me asking...

I am currently purchasing the 2017 RGR31 TT Toy Hauler with a Gross weight of 13300 lbs and tongue of 1585 lbs. I just looked at my 2005 Ford F-350 SWR hitch and it says 12500 lbs/1250 lbs. Apparently that's not going to work as it's underrated.

So, I'm asking what 2 1/2 hitch are everyone using along with a weight distribution hitch that can handle that weight? Blue Ox 2K?

I'm suppose to be picking it up next week and just looked at what I had.

Thank you everyone...really appreciate it!

I know its a bit late as you have most likely been pulling your trailer around already. But i also purchased the same trailer. I have a Ram 3500 and had to upgrade my receiver hitch, i went with a reese titan that is good for 18,000 lb along with the Blue Ox WD Hitch. Hope your enjoying that trailer they are nice.

Interesting. Same here-I have an HT31RGR, and upgraded to a 2 1/2" receiver on my F350 to deal with the tongue weight. Also have the Blue Ox hitch with the 2K bars.

Even with the Blue Ox setup, I was never able to get the truck to ride level, so I had the Firestone Airbags installed this week. That seems to have done the trick.

I'm wondering if the tongue weight of the Toy Hauler gets lighter when you actually put toys in the back. I don't have anything to put back there (we bought it mainly for the extra space to put the dog crates, and because we really liked the porch). I asked Highland Ridge about it, and whoever answers their email didn't know.

Yes, as you add weight rear of the axle you will in essence lighten your overall tongue weight however this is not taken account when they rate the units rather fully unloaded from the factory.

We have been discussing purchasing a 31rgr since our 2016 Ram 2500 ctd seemed a perfect fit. We have a class V receiver which I thought was rated for 1800lbs tongue weight. Please advise what I am not seeing.
