Today my local Toyota dealer installed a TransferFlow 46 gal replacement gas tank in my Tundra CrewMax. The factory tank was only 26 gal. It took 2.5 hours. The dealer had ordered the new tank for me. At about 9.5-10 mpg towing my 319RLS, I can double the distance between fill-ups. The final bill was under $2K installed and the first fill was about $85. I anticipate much less stress trying to find a gas station I can get the rig into and out of.

You're going to be thrilled with the upgrade. I went from 26 to 50 and couldn't be happier with the new tank. So nice to be able to get fuel on my schedule now. In fact, my bladder and original tank used to be in sync... when one was empty the other was full. Now the cruising range is just fantastic.

Got any pics or information on the tank? I am in the same boat you were. Always planning out the trips according to the gas stations...

There is not much to photograph. The new tank is steel, fills every space available back to the axle. Uses the old pump and gauge, filler, etc. The service tech had said it was a fairly easy exchange.

http://www.transferflow.com is the link to the company in Calif. (The tank is not Calif. compliant)

I did similar to my RAM and love the large tank, just wish the computer knew about the new size so the Distance To Empty would be useful again.
The one thing I like most about the large tank is I almost never have to fill up with the trailer attached, I can always make the camp and then go out and get the fuel.

az your dealer can reprogram that. Once I had my tank upgraded, I took the truck to the dealer so they could update the DTE based on the new tank size.

Mark, guess I'll try again, when I asked he had no idea. Guess I could try a different dealer.

If no dealer, there are aftermarket tuners that can easily do it for you.

Removed OEM tank on our 2014 F350, installed a Titan 65 gallon tank in its place. I haven't taken it on a trip yet, will be going from Houston to Grand Lake, Co. in September. Still need to run by dealer to get the calibration done.
