Dennis, are you doing all the photo bucket stuff off of your phone????

It is much easier when learning if you have access to a computer. FYI.
If not, I'll do some on my phone too and see if the procedure is different than I told you originally.

No I have been doing it off my home computer. I just happened to be checking the forum while I was at the job site and thought I would send on some pics until I get this down. Thanks D.

Dennis - Thanks for the photos of your Transfer Flow tank setup. The setup looks great. This is probably the way I'll go eventually.

Now I'll be looking forward to photos of your upcoming trip.

Butch, looks great. You can hit the enter key a couple of times in between the link and your text. That will allow us to read your captions easier.
Your doing great with the photos. Time to apply for a job at Microsoft. LOL

I now have to look at this differently with a 36 foot trailer hanging on my bumper. It is all about experience, something I am just beginning to develop. Many of you can look at a situation (gas station, campground site) and KNOW if your rigs are capable of maneuvering in the space before even attempting it. While I am capable with doing that in my cars and trucks, it is something only experience gives one with pulling a Trailer or 5th wheel. Until I develop that experience, I develop my ‘comfort level’ from you sharing your thoughts and experience.

Boy are you right, it is a most fun part of the journey and for us, each trip is a campfire story!! Have to laugh quietly till we get there though. Gas stations: Watch the pitch of the driveway if you are not at a truck station!!! Don't ask.

Ann

Ann - Good point to remember. At the end of the month (Labor Day Weekend) we have our first Trip that will require me to back in to our site. So a new experience. I dod back in to my driveway which is long and narrow.

And then in October we will be taking a trip to Stone Mtn., Georgia, our first trip that will require us to fuel up on the way.

So I am building my experiences one Trip (adventure) at a time :) It is not just the destination, but the journey getting there as well.

I prefer fueling at the car pumps if I have room to maneuver, mainly because I can use plastic at the pump. If I have to fuel at the truck pumps, I walk up, leave them cash $100, pump, walk up, get my cash back and use plastic. Am I paranoid? YES, On trip PA to CO I was leaving my card and only used it for fuel. Somebody grabbed my # and started charging all over. My bank notified me pretty quick and cancelled all the bogus charges, cancelled my card and FEDEX'd me another card. I happen to have a good relation with my FCU or this could have been a nightmare. Anyway, the only place I had used the card was for fuel so I have to assume while I was pumping, someone was recording my card #. Had no issue with nozzle size, just pump the high speed, slowly. Also the car pumps are usually cleaner and you don't have to wade in spilled fuel.

Thanks for the heads up on the card number theft. I will keep that in mind in the future.
I also prefer the pay-at-the-pump feature when available.

Read Dennis Walsh's posts and enjoyed them. We got a 2006 GMC 6.6 l Allison since we needed a 2006 or earlier to handle the "low sulpher" (500 ppm) found in Mexico. Elaine figured we had to get an auxilliary tank for return trip to Yucatan and we went with the same system as Dennis but didn't get the in-cab monitoring system for the Trans-Flow tank. We may have this retro-fitted but we're doing fine. This gives us 85 gallons total fuel capacity
