I've been considering Lippert's TT auto leveling system. It uses 2 different size jacks, one for 12" frame rails, and the other for 10" rails. Mine is a 274RLS model. I don't have the trailer near me so I can't measure it. Anyone?

I have a 2014 Open Range 345 RLS model. The main frame rails are 8" junior I beams. The landing legs used on this model are 2 1/2" square. Right off, I don't know the tube length, but can measure them tomorrow and PM you. Right now, I have three of those legs, as spares. Two that are good, and one that needs new gears in the top. They are available from Venture Manufacturing, in a kit for $55.

Ratracer.

I’ve been scolded once for bringing this up on another thread, but HR engineering says not to put an autolevel system on an OR Light. They say that, not only will it void your warranty, but it will warp the frame on the trailer and cause leaks. The light weight frames used on Light RV’s are not substantial enough to withstand the torsional forces applied with an autolevel system.

Please do not kill the messenger. We contacted HR directly to inquire about installing one on a new 297RLS and this is what we were told.

Yeah I was under mine changing the black and gray valves. All these trailers are made of is 2 main beams and some not so substantial bar joists connecting the two every 4 feet or so. I also found it interesting that the tanks aren't really even secured. They just sit on steel tubing that is welded between the rails. You can slide them around a bit by hand. I would think an auto level could do quite a lot of damage.
