Just picked up my new LT272RLS. Came with nice bedspread but no pillows/shams. Is the travel trailer supposed to come with pillows/shams to match the bedpread?

My first thought is yes all new OR RV's come with matching pillow/shams; however when I go onto Highland Range web site for your model LT27RLS the photo shows no matching pillow covers which match the bedspread. in their photo gallery; then when I go to RV Trader and view a new 2017 OPEN RANGE RV LT272RLS it's photos show no matching pillow shams.

Ours were under the bedroom bed storage area.

Ours is a 2012 model and it came with both a spread and shams, with that said they are bagged up and in our storage unit as we didn't need extra pillows to move off the bed or like the bland beige color. We just use our blanket as our spread; one less thing to fold up or move when making the bed :lol3

As with all the things we have taken out we kept them to put back at a later time. We learned this when trading for our OR 5er in 2012. The TT we had we removed the sofa and put in 2 recliners for our comfort. When trading the dealer wanted the original sofa replaced. Since we sold the sofa we had to pay for replacing it along with the expense of shipping from the manufacturer. Not a cheap replacement.

Our original recliners, fold out bed parts (we took it out for storage under sofa), ottoman, dining room table, small bedroom television, basement speakers, bed spread/shams, and the list goes on; are all in storage. The only thing we don't have is a mattress as we kept our sleep number from the trade unit because it was expensive; depending if we trade or sell whether we will be forced to replace that too.

Thanks for the info. I have sent email to highland ridge customer support.
Len-I looked at on line photos and 360 degree walk thru and both show pillows/ shams matching the bed spread.
While viewing the on line brochure and photos I also noticed I do not have the padded head board. Is this another missing detail?
Thanks

Terry

Our 272 came with the spread and shams. The pillows were more like accent pillows, not bed pillows. There is a head board (but it doesn't provide a lot of padding), You should have one.

Welcome to the forum! Keep in mind that Highland Ridge makes changes constantly! Just because a brochure shows something doesn't necessarily mean it will be in your trailer. If you go to a rally and get to tour other rigs, you'll find that even same year models will be different. Check your paperwork. You should have a list of everything that comes with your trailer. If the shams or headboard are not on there, then they no longer come with it. This is something that should have been noticed and covered in your PDI.

We also stored the fancy shiny bedspread and shams that came with our 2012 trailer. Who in their right mind puts "dry clean only" stuff in a camper???

Peggy

Peggy I couldn't agree with you more about the "dry clean only" bedspreads and shams. We removed our fancy shiny bedspread and shams from our 2012 trailer also and stored them at our daughter's house in NJ for if/when we ever sold or traded in our trailer. We recently (and unexpectedly) bought a new Open Range and our dealer asked if we had the original bedspread. I was so happy to tell him yes and that it was like brand new. Unfortunately after saving it for 5 years I was NOT willing to pay over $100 to have it shipped from NJ to TX where we purchased our new rv. Our dealer didn't blame me either. The new fancy shiny bedspread and shams are for now being stored under our bed, taking up precious space. Will we save them? Still up in the air, but probably. LOL

That was one of the first mods my wife did to the rig when we first got it... get rid of all the shiny stuff that never really stayed in place.

Just a tip on shipping large items or heavy items. Check with all carriers, UPS, FedX and USPS, prices vary.
Shipping to a business address is cheaper than a resident home.
Packaging you item slightly smaller could cut the shipping cost in half.
As far as shipping that bedspread and shams, I would have used those suction bags and shrink it down very small.
I have small eBay business and ship stuff all the time. Every item is different and therefore I switch back and forwards between the 3 carries. I also use heavy plastic bags to ship instead of heavy cardboard boxes.
You can print your own shipping labels at on on almost any printer saving money not paying a shipping store, besides the shipping cost they over charge you for supplies and handling fees.
