When the Integrated Brake Controller is unplugged (so I can plug it into the P3), the light comes on. The Integrated Brake Controller needs deleted or removed from the sales code associated with my VIN but my dealer says they cant do it without factory instruction since it was installed during the vehicle initial build. Sounds like BS to me so I'll go along with the light on the dash until someone from Chrysler Sustaining Engineering (oxymoron ?) returns my call with instructions for the dealership. This is kinda like dealing with the government!

Something else you guys should know about Tekonsha products. I have used them for decades, and I had one that I transferred from a van we towed with, to a truck we bought new (2006) to another truck (long story there) and finally to our Duramax. In short, it's old. Well it started acting up. Locked brakes at slow speed, and had to readjust constantly.

Was about to order a new one off etrailer. and decided I would ask Tekonsha a question directly. The response was not what I expected. He wanted to know more about the problem. When I described the issue, he asked for a home phone number, which I gave. An engineer called within 5 min and said if I would send the OLD one in, he would test it, and either repair or replace. He was sure it was the controller. I was concerned because we had a trip planned in a little over a week.

In short, one week later a brand new P3 (mine was not a P3, but a MUCH older model) arrived and has worked perfectly ever since. That was last summer before our trip to Idaho for the eclipse.

I am a Tekonsha customer for life.

What a great story and product endorsement to pass along. Its really great to hear about a company with such an outstanding commitment to product excellence and customer service. There are some RV manufacturers who could learn a lot from this. Who knows, they may even browse through our forum from time to time.

Shocked the heck out of me for sure. The P3 is fantastic, by the way.
